Sorry I am sooo late getting this letter written. I was going to get done before I had my hand done so that I could type better and a little faster, but the hand is working okay. I was so worried to have it done but now I'm glad I did. The big bandage comes off tomorrow. Grandpa is having a few problems with his heart again. He went in for some tests but haven't heard anything yet.Now for good news. We are sooo happy to have Austin home. His homecoming was great. We do have a great and wonderful family with the support you show for everything. Love you all. I love the E-mails from CAMERON AND TREVOR and the pictures . Sure do miss them but they are looking great. I'm happy that Karrie is doing better.I worry so much when anyone in the family doesn't feel good or has problems. It's good to hear that the grandkids are happy in school. The weather is getting better(always have to mention the weather) not so hot. But this year is going fast(too fast) I'd better close for now before the end of the month comes so that you can get this. And if there are any mistakes sorry, but it's a little hard to type with one hand and one finger on the other hand. I love you all soo very much. I hope we all stay healthy this winter.
Grandma Mann
P.S. Karlene you better get that neck taken care of soon!!!

Well it's been a while since my last entry, but I wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes during my recovery. What a crazy thing one minute you're fine and the next not so much. Anyway, I'm pretty much 100% back and feeling really good. The kids are doing great and loving school. Granger is in first grade now and his teacher is Mrs. Berube she is GREAT! he really likes her and Grace is now in 3rd grade and her teacher is Mrs. Hunt and she doesn't give any home work so Grace and I both LOVE HER! Holden is liking high school and thinks it's pretty cool that a cheerleader likes him! Hunter is really enjoying Jr. high and is learning Spanish. As you all know FALL is in the air and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to get my Halloween out but Todd said it was way to early and because the boxes are so high up in the garage I'm at his mercy, but I think I'll have them out the last week in September! I can't wait! I love you all so much

Well it has been a great 4 weeks having Austin home. Things are going good for him at Weber. He got a job at Campusbookrental.com. It is a local bussiness that rents college books to students. A kid that graduated from Weber started it 2 years ago. Austin is doing customer service. Mally is now a peer leader at school and thinks that that is just great. Cortland has the same teacher that Mallory had for 3rd grade and we love Miss Farr. My marathon training is winding down but now I am also training for a triathalon. I sure wish that I would not have spent my summers laying out at the pool, but spent it in the pool like my Carrie did. I am learning "correct" swimming technique now. Kevin has been working a lot of over time this week. I think he just wants to spend the day in his garden by himself.
I want to thank everyone for coming to the airport and to our home for Austin's Home coming. Mann we have a great family. I'm so glad that we can share so many things.
Stacy
P.S. I know that I only post about once a quarter. I need Austin set up so that he can do this for me.

Deckers

Hi Everyone,
I am finally getting this done. Last week was crazy. The kids are back in school and have really good teachers. Bryce already wants summer. He has a really hard work load in school this year. He is doing the early college program so he will be working really hard the next two years but then he will have his associates degree before he goes on his mission. Ty and Wes busy are busy with football. Bryce is still playing soccer. They all won their games Saturday. It keeps us really busy. But we wouldn't have it any other way. I am actually turning into one of those crazy football moms on the sidelines. Football parents can get a little crazy. I'm not as bad as some of them. I do wish it would cool down a little bit. I love the fall season. Cam is doing great. It is great to have Austin home. He did a great job at his homecoming. Love you all.

Johnson Fam: August

It's been a fun month for us. Emma started school the end of July. She loves it! Her teacher is so nice and grandma-like, the perfect Kindergarten teacher. She's met some new friends too. We celebrated her birthday on the 18th. It was such a fun day! We went to Chuck E. Cheese with my family and had a blast. The kids could have stayed there all day, and by kids I mean Casey too. I had to drag him out of there. I must admit that I liked playing the games too. After that we went to Krispy Kreme, Emma's favorite. Too bad they don't agree with my weight-loss plan...oh well! They're worth it. Then we had Casey's family and Gma and Gpa Mann over for cake and ice cream. I made a rainbow cake. Too bad I forgot to take pictures of the first one! I had to make another one for her friend party just so I could take pictures. I'll post them when I get them on the computer. The inside was all different colors!

It was fun seeing Austin come home! The pictures are so fun to see. Thanks for documenting it Karlene! Next up...seeing all these boys grow up and get married, crazy!!

Where the heck did summer go? Well, school is in full swing whether we like it or not. It's nice to have a routine again though. The kids all seem to be ok with their schedules. Whitney is busy with Student Council. Brinley gets her expander on in a few days. She's not excited for braces. I'm excited for Fall weather and temperatures. Our computer is fried so I can't access my pictures and it's driving me crazy! Guess we'll need to go pick some money off the tree and buy a new one. (ya, right)

Ky Mann Fam

How time flyes, I can't believe Aug is almost over, It goes by faster the older you get. Kam and Hill are all pumped now that school has started, o.k. maybe alittle, Hillaree now rules the school, and Kambree is excited that there are younger and smaller kids then her now. I got the running bug like the rest of you but not as bad, yet, Just tryig to keep up with Nae and Hill is hard enough, they are like the energizer bunny, running with the rest of you would be like running with a machine, Kam and I will get there someday. Hopefuly we won't see anymore 100 degree weather, I hate that as bad as the cold, just stay 70 all year. Welcome home Austine its great to have you back, you did a great job on your homecoming talk. Trevor had his first transfer since he has been out, kinda crazy, he is now in Torreon and loveing it. Everyone be safe be cooool, talk to you soon. Love, K,J,T,H,K,

Johnson Fam: July

I know I'm late but I kept putting it off and then all of the sudden it's August. Boy how time flies. Austin will be home a week from tomorrow...crazy! Let's see, what did we do in July? There were the fun holidays, the 4th and 24th. We go up to the Logan fireworks every year. Casey loves it, I think it's a bit crazy. But it's fun. The kids were both a little nervous at first but then they decided the fireworks were pretty cool. However, Cole fell asleep during them, how does that happen? The camping trip was good. It was really hot though. I'm thinking we should go somewhere that isn't so hot next year. But I'll be happy with wherever we go. It was nice to have a trailer to sleep in. I'm so grateful for good friends. Emma started school on the 28th. I really like this year round schooling. She was sooo bored and needed something to occupy her time. She loves her teacher and she's meeting new friends. Cole was pretty sick for a good week with the stomach flu. It was scary because he didn't eat for a long time and he started to lose weight. But now he's better so we're grateful for that. Sorry to everyone who got sick too...I really thought he was better. It was a 24 hour flu for the rest of us and a 6 day flu for him! No fun.

summa

I LOVE SUMMER :) and I love my family. Thanks everyone for being so amazing. Hope everyone is happy and doing so great.

WOW! July was a crazy, fun month for us! Had great fun in Island Park with the Robinson side! Then had a blast camping with the Mann side! Then we were home for a day and we all left for the Stake Pioneer Trek! And after we were home for two days, Ron and Brinley left for New York! And in between all of that, we still had time to celebrate our freedom, our 20th anniversary, birthdays and light fireworks! phew!
oooo and I forgot to tell you.. we saw a grizzly bear at Yellowstone! Pretty cool!

Tuesday, July 28, 2009

This month of July has been a very busy one. For me it was and for most of you it has been extra busy. Camping was great. I started cleaning the trailer a couple of weeks before we left and really didn't think I was going to make it. But I did. I'm slowing down that's for sure. I really like the place we went to. Lots of room for the kids to explore and that is the kind of place we need to go to. We better get going on where we are going next year. The food was great and the play was really great. I told Ron that he should post them on the internet for families to
get ideas for when they are doing family reunions. You do such a good job doing it Ron, thanks so much and I know that the kids really enjoy doing them. You could even write a book full of ideas and have it published. We so much appreciated Kyle pulling the trailer for us and Kevin getting the roof of the trailer fixed in case it rained so it wouldn't leak. We do appreciate all of you for the help you give to us. We have a great family!! I'm sill cleaning the trailer. It takes me quite a few days to get it cleaned. But then the heat hasn't helped because it gets so hot.
But I wouldn't trade all of the camping trips we have had together. Hope I'm good for another 10 years for them. Love you all sooo very much!! Stay happy and healthy

Recovering from camping

Well the clothes are washed and everything is putt away. We had a great time camping with everyone. Mallory says that her favorite thing was the clubhouse that the girls made. The swing and the play were great too she says.
Ron you did such a great job with the play, song, set design, and costume. The only thing that I will add to your list for next year is stage make-up. I don't think that you will have to worry about anyone trying to be director.
I thought that the race was fun and I am so glad that I am not the only one who enjoys running now. I know that you all don't love it yet but I have hope as the years pass that we can all stay active and healthy. Just think 1 year ago Kevin and I would ahve been the only ones to run "The Dam Race"
Yesterday we had a surprise at church. When we saw the program Austin was listed as the first speaker. We weren't sure what was going on. It turns out that the Bishopric had contacted Austin and another missionary and asked them to write a talk and send it to them. Austin did a great job.
Well this is my once a quarter post. Because I am not very good at checking.

Decker Family

Yesterday was the 4th of July. We went to the parade. It was such a great day. It wasn't hot at all. Usually the parade is miserably hot. Then Ashlee came up with the kids and we had a BBQ. Then we went and got some fireworks for the boys to light but we can't do them at our house so we went to the park and did them there. I really thought Weston was going to get his fingers blown off. Of course, I had to keep reminding them. (more like driving everyone crazy yelling at them) I gave up and just watched. (you remember I have a fear of fireworks because I almost got blown up by one.) Then of course last but not least the fireworks display to end the day. Cam is doing well. He loves being a missionary. Love you all, The Deckers

June: Johnson family

June was very rainy and cold at times. The good side of this was the green grass and the flowers didn't need to be watered much. However, we went to Bear Lake with our friends and froze our buns off down at the beach. But we still had a good time. I love Bear Lake and have lots of great memories there. Hopefully we can get up there again this summer. The week after our vacation Casey came down with strep throat. I was very dedicated to spraying Lysol and sanitizing everything. I thought we mad it through without anyone else getting sick...that was until a few days ago. Monday I started feeling achy and had a sore throat so we called the doctor for some antibiotics. Tuesday was horrible and today isn't much of an improvement. I should take a picture of the back of my throat. It's downright scary! I hate strep throat. It's a miserable sickness. So hopefully I'll feel better soon. We're headed up to Logan on Friday for their fireworks. Everyone's invited to the stadium! It's a lot of fun, that's what Casey tells me every year. It can be a lot of work and a lot of driving but they do put on a great firework display. I think we might have access to a trailer for Mann camping so Casey's excited about that. Love you all!!

I LOVE JULY!

I love July! I love the b-b-q's, picnics, fireworks, parades, family get-togethers, YAY! We're having a great summer! One fun thing the girls and I did was go to the Good Things Utah taping and lunch afterward. It was a lot of fun! We leave for Island Park on Sunday with the Robinson side, then we're home for a few days and leave for the Mann camping trip, YAY! then we're home for a few days and leave for the Pioneer Trek! Then, of course, we celebrate grandma's and my birthday, with food, fireworks and fun! I get excited just thinking about it! Hope you're all having a great summer! We sure love all of you!!

newsletter

Happy 4th of July to all of you. Can you believe that this year is 1/2 over? Hope you all have a good and safe holiday.I think we will be in the house enjoying the cool air. It's going to be too hot. The other day when I had Granger and Griffin I put up the little plastic pool that we have only to find it full of holes, so I taped some of them to hold a little water and Griffin asked if we could go to the swimming pool(a big one) and I told him that his Mom and Dad can take him to those places. But he cooled off here fast, it lasted about 15 min and they wanted to come in, But then it wasn't as hot that day, like it has been today. The reason I am telling this is that I had a memory flash. The park that I grew up by, living across the street from it had a "wading pool". It was cement and only about 2 feet deep. We always had good times in it. It was about 50 feet long and about l2 feet wide. A fairly good size for a park. I am so happy that I have these flash backs about my childhood. I hope I can remember more. They have since fill it in with sand and I think grass is growing on it now. If the park were a safe place it would be interesting to go take a look. So far I'm still looking toward the family camping. Getting a little excited. Love you all soooo much. Take care of my grandkids and great-grandkids. Watch them sooo carefully.

Girls Camp in Bear Lake is comeing up next week for us girls,we are so excited! We just had our Stake Confrence and Elder Holland came to speak to us.It was so amazing to hear in person the insperational words coming from a wonderful leader of the church who was called by God.We are truely blessed to have such amazing leaders in our lives to help us through our hard times! Well thats all for now.. Love you all so stinking much!

A day late and a blog short

I love the Memorial Day pics that are posted. I am glad that everyone had so much fun at the race. Now you can understand why Kevin and I do it. Even if you do have to pay. I do want to make sure that Kevin and I get credit for running the half marathon that day. It was my first and Kevin's second half marathon. We stayed together the whole time except for the last tenth of a mile. Kevin wanted to hold hands and run across the finish line together, but we had a little misunderstanding. When I told him to go I wanted him to just pass my friend in front of me, but he thought that I was too tired and that I was wanting him to sprint without me. Kevin's finish time was 02:01:48 and my time was 02:02:14. We ran it 7 minutes faster than I had hoped to do. The only bad thing was that we were not there to see the rest of you run. It sounds like you had a blast. I'm sure that we left our Mann family stamp on Syracuse.
The other great news is that Austin got transferred. He is now in Plymouth Mass. He is less than a mile from the ocean. His Comp is from Logan UT and I think that they will get along better than the last one. I have had contact with the mission office and they are planning on sending Austin home Aug 14. The only reason that that would change is because he is getting a new mission pres at the end of the month. So plan on his home coming Sunday Aug. 16 because there will be no church the next week. Mallory is very disappointed that she will not be missing school to pick her brother up like she got to pick Trevor up.
The kids are doing so good in swimming right now it is amazing how much they develop ina year.

Another month is gone, that means that this year is almost 1/2 over. Hard to believe. I enjoyed May and happy to attend some activities regarding the grand kids. We really enjoyed the dance recital for Brinley and Baylee. And was very sorry that we had to miss Kambree's dance recital. They were both on the same night. Same time. We finally got to watch Grace play a soccer game.Probably would have gone to more if it hadn't been so cold. We missed Mallory and her volleyball games. Next year, I need a schedule for all the kids and their games so that we can make sure we get to see all(of the kids) play. Well all of you graduated into the next year of school. Proud of you. Memorial Day was very good. But we always have a good time with the family. I'm so glad we had good weather. The opportunity for me and some of the family to go see my old house that I grew up in and to be able to go inside was fantastic. I think about it now and get a little teary eyed. I had a good life there. I just wish the neighborhood now could be like it was when I was living there. Now it's pretty scary.I enjoy the pictures that you all post on the Mann-ac letter. I love you all sooooooo very much. Stay healthy!! Grandma Mann

Summer is here!

Brinley is now in Young Women and loves it! She's officially in Jr. High now! It's kinda weird that I won't be helping at the elementary school anymore. (sigh) Baylee is at EFY this week and is having a blast! woot! Trek's Lone Peak sophmore soccer team went to the championship undefeated, but lost last night. Trek played awesome though! It was probably his best all season! We're really proud of him! Way to go big T!! Whitney is in full swing at the school everyday this week planning with the other SBOs. She came up with the theme for next year's homecoming dance and they all love it and are using it! "A Knight for a Princess" cute huh? Whitney and Trek are earning some money doing yards. It's hard work. We're excited for all the family fun planned for the summer with the cousins! We love you all!

Memorial Day pictures

Here are some pictures from our Memorial Day festivities. I loved seeing Karlene's. I'm so glad she's around to document our lives.

The running pictures had to be on here too. We need proof that we did it! It was so fun and I hope we'll do it again next year. Karlene definitely had the best finish performance. Aubrey is missing from the big group picture...

Emma took this picture of me and Cole. She also got some great shots of random people crossing the finish line.

Decker Family

Hi from the Deckers,
It has been a wonderful month. It has been very busy with all good things. It was great to go to Emma's graduation. It's amazing how fast she is growing up. I can't believe she will be in kindergarten.
The boys are playing baseball now. It keeps us busy for the month of June. Aubrey's graduation was great! She really can't be graduated already can she? She wants to get a job as a CNA. She will be great at it. Memorial Day was so fun. Thanks to those that planned the swimming and the food. It was awesome. I loved the race. So what if we were almost last. We had a great time laughing at ourselves. Just wait until next time Karlene and I will beat you all. haha Cameron is doing great. He is in a town called Boca del Rio. He has two comp. and they are the zone leaders. He will learn quickly how things are to be done. We are always praying for our missionaries. We have a great family. Love you all, The Deckers

Johnson Fam: May

How come this month has seemed crazy but I can't figure out why?? Let's see....oh yeah, Emma had her preschool graduation. She was a "Valentine" and got to wear a really cute red dress. I think I might go crazy having her home all the time. She has to be entertained constantly. I'm so glad we have year round school. She starts Kindergarten July 20. She started tumbling again this month and she's so good at it. She's definitely a natural. The Memorial Day festivities were a lot of fun. I think it would be a fun tradition to keep doing every year. I love when our family gets together. I always look forward to seeing everybody. I'm glad we are such a close family.

Johnson Family

I've been meaning to post for awhile now and I keep getting distracted. First of all I wanted to say that Cameron called my mom from the MTC on Wednesday to say that the soonest he would leave would be next Wednesday. But it's still up in the air. I think they'll just wait and see how the virus is progressing next week. This swine flu is stressing me out. A doctor in my old ward said it's blown out of proportion so I'm trying not to worry...

Hawaii was so much fun. It was so great to get away, just the two of us. We did a lot of fun things...North Shore, Pearl Harbor, Hanauma Bay, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head hike, kayaking, and rode a Catamaran. The catamaran ride was actually the same day we left. It was amazing! Probably one of my favorite part's of the trip. We saw dolphins, snorkeled with big turtles, and saw a baby humpback whale. We would love to go back someday. The kids did alright at my mom's house. Everyone helped out and we are sooo grateful to them. To see pictures of our trip click here.

Since we've been back we're trying to get adjusted to real life. It's been pretty crazy and exhausting. The kids are outside all the time. Emma learned to ride her bike without training wheels this week. Mom taught her, dad was sad...I knew it would be easy since she has great balance. Casey's been out in the yard everyday. And Cole loves to shoot hoops in his basketball hoop. I've caught the running bug and now I'm training for a half marathon in August (Provo River) if anyone else wants to join me, let me know!

Friday, May 1, 2009

I graduated from cardiac rehab today. Now if I can just find the gumption to continue a home.
I feel good as far as the heart surgery is concerned but still weak in the legs as always and back
so I don't spend a lot time in the yard because I just give out. There is a 100 things to do out there
so I'm' not want for work. I relay need to find something fun to do once in a while that would lighten things up a bit. Does anyone know something fun an old codger could do? Or two old codgers like Bev and I could do that don't hurt. Bev and I went to a movie in Layton a week or so
ago and we learned not to pic a movie where there are stairs aver again, they have to be walk-ins.
I am enjoying all the blogs and pictures. Grandpa M.
This is Grandma Mann writing finally. Kayla I just read your blog and Cameron is really leaving
Monday. I didn't look at the date. Or was it last Monday. I worry about these boys, but we do
pray a lot. I went to the doctor yesterday to have him check my legs again and I am waiting to
hear from him to see if the infection is back. Last night(Thursday) I didn't feel well at all, had a
headache and I thought for sure I picked up the flu from the doctors office, but today I'm
feeling better. I think it might be allergies. Sorry to here about Austin. He is really being tested.
Well it's May already and it's still cold outside(most of the time) Reed did get a few flowers in
yesterday before the rain. Not only do we have trouble with this tree with the leaves and the
fuzzy balls, but now the birds fly on the deck to get to the cat food. I don't mind feeding them
but they like to leave their droppings (poo). And the other morning when I look out front, on
the lawn were about a dozen birds pecking for food. Our house seems to be in the path of
everything. Well enough complaing. I still feel soo bad about Buck. I would like to have a
good dog like he was. But I do get to dog-sit Sadie and she is a good dog. Well I will get this
posted before the day ends. Love you all so very very much. STAY WELL!!

Bad News for Austin the Boston

Well Austin had transfers again last week and he is still with Elder Alva. I know that he had his heart sent on getting transferred. After this transfer Asutin will have spent more than one quarter of his mission with a comp that he really doesn't like and the comp doesn't like him. Even though he is still seeing some way cool things in Boston I know that he is ready for a change. I am very proud of him for trusting in the Lord that this will all work out for the best.
Mally just called and she fell at school so I'll end here so that I can go pick her up. She has been having a lot of trouble at school lately with thinking that kids don't like her.

Hi from the Deckers,
We just got an e-mail from and he is heading out on Monday. I can't believe he is heading into that country. But, we have faith that he will be ok. He says he is going to be OCD. I told him that was ok with me. They had a class on how to take care of themselves when they get there. I know the church takes really good care of their missionaries so we just have to have faith that all will be well. Aubrey is almost done with CNA. She is going to try and get a scholarship to take a class in the summer to be a phlebotomist. (She loves blood) Bryce is playing still basketball. The kids are looking forward to school getting out. What will us mothers do! jk We love 'em

US

I really have to get use to this. The month of march was just splendid, April has been so much fun now that its getting warmer. As you all know by now about the swine flu in Mexico and the U.S. We worry more about this then we have about the guns and drugs, sounds crazy but true. I wonder what the next thing we are going to have to worry about, more faith than fear I guess, so far so good. Kayla, not to late to get cam reassigned hahaha. The girls are doing great in school, getting good grades, or else. Nae and I are Starting to work in the yard now, why cant weeds die in the winter? they seem to thrive in the snow. Bring on the May flowers(not the ship) love you all!!!! k,j,t,h,k,

All Dogs Go To Heaven

BUCK
Aug. 21,1996-April 25, 2009
The best dog in the whole world is now in heaven doing what he loves. He's running and jumping and playing fetch! He went with his tail wagging. Buck brought us so much joy and happiness and we're going to miss him terribly. We'll miss him jumping up to meet us as he sees the car driving up the road, knowing he'll get a treat as soon as we got out the car. We'll miss having to hold him back because he wanted to follow whoever was walking to church or a friends house. We'll miss that big 'ol bark when someone passed by the house. Our friends will miss Buck greeting them on the porch wagging his tail like crazy. Buck had a gentle spirit and instantly captured the heart of all those who made contact with him. We're thankful we got to have Buck in our lives. We love you Buck-a-roo! Forever in our hearts, Ron, Karlene, Whitney, Trek, Baylee and Brinley

Johnson Family Pictures

Since Stacy put her pictures on, I decided I better put ours on too. Even though I wasn't thrilled about taking them in the freezing snow, they turned out awesome. I'm glad I have people around who force me to take family pictures. I'm always glad I did it.

Hawaii was great! I'll post about it later. Happy to see the kids, sad to be back to real life and work.

Cancun, MX

Cancun was a blast! This is Chichen Itza. They won't let you climb it anymore, but Ron & I did last time we were there. eeek! This is Coba. The kids climbed it. Can you see them at the top?:D If you click on the picture, you can see 'em.
Ocean fun and pool fun!We also did some flea market shopping and ate at some authentic places. It was a nice, relaxing break.

Hi everyone! This is just for your information, but I wanted to pass it along in case you aren't aware. Companies are now targeting mobile phones with advertisements of alcohol, tobacco, pornography and gambling. Utah has a website now that you can go to and register your e-mail, mobile phone, fax etc. so that you CANNOT be contacted or sent advertisements. It is donotcontact.utah.gov I strongly suggest you register, especially your kids phone numbers, so that these buggers cannot send any of this scum to our kids! (or us!) I just did it. It is super easy and gave me peace of mind knowing I can try to protect my kids from this crap! Sorry, this scummy world just ticks me off sometimes! But life IS good and I will post about our Mexico trip soon. We had a blast! I love you all and our kids and want them protected as much as possible! Hugs, Karlene

Getting on (original)

Grandpa, this is Ashlee. It saved your original blog post so I'm going to post it for everyone to read.

Well there ins't much going on. All I do is sit around and heal, and it is getting old.All is healing well thought. It no longer hurts to cough or sneeze. My chest is all healed. The wounds that were made in my leg to extract the vain that went to the heart are still healing, but all-in-all I am doing very well. I got a little rose trimming and bush trimming done last week when we seen the son for a few min,but winter hasn't given up yet so we wait. I'm proud of all the great thing the Grand kids are doing. They seem to be moving on to greater thing as they get older, and that is a good thing. Conference was great, I'm glad you all watched it. I'm looking forward to the Ensign to read them again.

We went to
Kaysville last Sunday to Spencer Boyces farewell. I was a surprise that he decided to go, because for the last year he was determined not to go but the Lord worked on him a little at a time and He won. He is going to the Baltic Reagan particularly to Estonia where he will be speaking on of the hardest languages there is. Is compared to Cantonese Chinese in difficulty, but he can't wait. Im going to take a stabe a putting a picture up on this blog. Let see that happens. Love you all
Grandpa.

getting on

I was going to try to put a picture up on this blog, but in trying I cancelled my intire message, so I'm not going to type it again. So as slow as I type it would take another hour to type it so I won't.
Just to say that I'm healing very well. Thank you for all your faith and prayers and well wishes and the
sweet cards and letters from the Grand kids, even if they were on posit note paper I loved them. And the flowers at the hospital, they were so beautiful, and the visits at the hospital were greatly enjoyed.
I Know this is all March stuff, but thank you again.
Nothing exiting happens in out lives it's all happening on yours so my blog is boring so I'll sign off.
Good luck to you all. I love you Grandpa

Well I hope that by adding a couple of pictures it makes up for me not posting at the end of March. These are a couple of the pictures that Haley took when we did Johnson Family Pics. The only other pic that I would post is of all of my blisters on my feet. On Mondays when I do a long run I get at least 2 new blisters.
Tomorrow Kevin is going to Taser instructor school. He says that he is going to let them shoot him with the darts, not just hook them in his pockets. It just goes to show you that you can have peer pressure at any age.
Of course we went camping for springbreak. This time the Millers joined us and we had a great time. The weather could've been better though.
Ausitn emailed and said the for sure he will be home by Aug 28th. He may come home sooner than that to start at Weber.
Everytime that Cortland leaves the house to go to his friend's home he says these parting words. "Love Ya, See Ya, Bye!" Sounds good enough for me too.

My newest excitement

Hey everyone!  Just letting you all know that I didn't get the SB Secretary position that I ran for.  Instead I'm on the Student Body Cabinet!!  My official title is SB Cabinet - Publicity.  I'm super excited!  I'll have tons of fun cause I'm still a part of the student council, but with a lot less stress than the Secretary.  I won't have to take any notes or be as organized.  It's kinda hard to accept that I won't be cheering anymore.  I've been cheering for 5 years, and now it's just over.  It'll take a while to get used to.  But now I can't wait for the next school year to start, but in the meantime I'll enjoy spring and summer.  See you all at grandma's!  Have a great spring break!

Okay. So I went before the judge today for the second time in a week. Me and all the other drug heads, shoplifters, and stalkers. Man, all I did was drive over the speed limit a little bit. Does that make me a criminal? I sure felt like it as I watched those in orange suits with chains on their wrists and ankles taken back to their cell. Now I have to go to traffic school! Traffic school! I could teach traffic school! I'm not nervous about going to traffic school, I'm more nervous about forgetting to go to traffic school. So this is my request, please don't let me forget on April 22nd, I have traffic school at 6 p.m. sharp! Because I am NOT going back to that courtroom again! It freaked me out.

From Aubrey...

I just love this picture. It's adorable. And I just thought you would like it as well Karrie! That is all.

"Eggs are yellow..."

Hey everyone!  This is my first time every blogging! Haha this'll be fun.  Last night we came home from grandma's and lo and behold there was a yellow poster board on our porch that said, "Eggs are yellow, eggs can also be blue.  Look for the eggs to see who wants to go to Prom with you."  We look throughout our yard and found about 20 eggs in our front lawn!  We collect them all, which was difficult in the dark, and bring them inside to start getting them open.  His name was in one of the last eggs we opened.  His name is Morgan Hardy.  I'm really excited!  I'm borrowing one of Aubrey's dresses, which is really nice and makes the whole thing a lot less stressful.  Anyway, there's a little update of my life :)

Watch out!

I love that everyone is getting the hang of this!! So, March flew by! Trek is turning 16 on wednesday and has already asked a girl to the Prom in May! He is anxious to get his license so I don't have to go everywhere with him. And so am I buddy! He made the Lone Peak soccer team so he's been busy and played great tonight with one goal and a few assists! Whitney is running for Student Body Secretary. Turns out I have video skills I didn't know about! We did her video in stop-motion. I guess my posting skills aren't as good 'cuz the computer didn't post it. But when I get it figured out, you will be amazed! :) Baylee has to get a minor surgery done in her mouth on friday. She has a cyst on the inside of her lip that has to be taken out at the surgery center. I really wanted to post a picture for you all to see, but she said "no". Party pooper. Brinley has a lead in the school play. She is Ophilia in "Hamlet" so she going to be doing a lot of memorizing of lines. Ron just bought a new (to us) lawn mower and trailer. He and Trek are hoping to get a little business going this summer. I am getting excited for Conference this weekend! I love Conference weekend! Think Spring! We love you all so much! "R" gang :D

Decker Family: March

Hi again from the Deckers,
Things are going great at the Deckers. Life has slowed down a little bit. The kids have a break with sports, but it won't last for long. Cameron is doing great at the MTC. He is getting use to life there. He is getting along better with his companion Yes, he only has one now. He did have two and that was a little hard. He would love letters or an e-mail so if you have time write him and tell him how you are doing. He would love it. Aubrey is done with CNA classes and she starts her clinicals this Sat. She is very excited to get a job being a CNA. She can't wait. We are so grateful that Dad's surgery went well. We hope that he will continue to recover quickly. We are also grateful that the infection in mom's legs is getting better. We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents. We love you both very much. Love you all, The Deckers

Grandma

Well here goes another attempt to do this letter. I really do enjoy reading all the news from everyone. Ashlee, I'm so glad you put pictures for us to see. Did you all have fun with the latest snow storm. The wind blew so hard here Saturday night that it blew a piece of our siding off on the south side of the house. It hung there quite awhile banging against the side of the house. At first I thought it was the neighbors having a party again doing something crazy outside. Finally the wind blew it all the way off, so when the weather gets good(if ever) we'll need some strong guys to nail it back on. Well I think Reed is mending good and loves going to re-hab, where they work him good on different machines. I can't believe how fast all of that happened. Between going to the doctors and re-hab, our car automatically knows the way to go by itself. I'm looking forward to conference this weekend. Hope the weather is good. I need some good inspirational talks about now. Conference brings some memories to me.We used to ride the train called"the bamburger" to Salt Lake City for the Saturday sessions. We didn't have a car and my Mom didn't drive so that is how we went to Salt Lake or to Lagoon. Some of the train tracks are still in Roy that the train used. It wasn't a fast train and of course it made all the little stops along the way,so it took time but it was fun. I know that the grandkids would like to ride on something like that now.I wish I had pictures of it. Well I love all of you so much and thank you for all of the support you give. We have a great family.
Grandma Mann

Johnson Fam: March

This month has been really busy for us. We celebrated a bunch of birthday's in the Decker family and then there was Cole's birthday last week. He turned two! It was so much fun to see his face when he opened the presents. He's such a funny little kid.

He loves singing "Happy Birthday!" He knows all the words. I think it must be from singing it every week at Grandma's house. He did a good job of blowing out the candles too!

We had so much fun playing outside while the weather was warm. Cole begs every day and has started sneaking outside by himself. I really hope we have a nice, warm Easter in a few weeks. I love this time of year. I love the pretty flowers coming up and everything turning green. We finally broke down and purchased a Wii. Emma loves it and she's really good at it too. She wins the computer in boxing every time. Our next purchase will be either Rock band or GH: World Tour. Anybody who knows which is better, let us know.

Grandpa

There is nothing new with me. You all know what has been going on in my life. I am recovering as well as anybody who has has had some doctor open your chest ( I accused Dr. Cain of chopping me in half and he said no, no I just gently separated your sternum. What is the difference hatchet or
saw it is the same thing) and reach in and fiddle with things. It was some serious fiddling though.
I believe it put some more years on my life. Now all I need is to be run over by a truck, all would
be for not. Waite a min. maybe I was it felt like I had been. I'm having a little trouble getting my sugar like it was though, but I is coming along a little at a time. That operation relay screws the body up.
Enough about me. I have to thank all of you for your support and visits to the hospital and your willingness to do what ever for Bev and I. we can't thank you enough.
It is great to read all you blogs. I love reading about what is going on in your lives. The grand kids are having a great time with all that is going on with them. I am impressed with each and every one. These are the things I like hear about. And I live the pictures. Some one will have to show us how to do that, It adds a lot to the newsletter and blogs.
Thing I hate: ice and snow, being cooped up, salontro,(sp?) dog or cat hair on my cloths, getting old, seeing my kids get old, and and the thought of living a long way from my Grand kids.
Thing I love: the Gospel, Beverly, and all of you...... Grandpa.
